"The Shoppe Hop"

I want to welcome you to my blog, and invite you to stop by The Scrapbook Book Shoppe for all your scrapbooking supplies. This is my first time participating in a blog hop, I hope that everyone enjoys seeing all the different layouts and projects that we all came up with using the same set of paper. I decided to do two double page layouts and a card.

The pattern papers are "Boys Gone Wild" from "Reminisce". And as you can see I used an assortment of basic colored cardstock. The coordinating sticker embellishments are also from Reminisce. On the second layout, I cut the road and the trike using my cricut and the "Everyday Paper Dolls" cartridge. I then added a few buttons from my stash.

Layout 1

On the second layout, I used the "Everyday Paper Dolls" cricut cartridge for the road and tricycle. The buttons were from my stash.

Layout 2

And here is my card.

If you would like the recipes for the layouts and card, please let me know. I would be glad to send it to you. Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget you will want to stop by The Scrapbook Shoppe and see Judy's designs.

Your next stop on the hop will be

Wow...I didn't realize it had been so long since I last posted anything. How the time flies! I finally finished Andrew's hockey scrapbook and am halfway done with a book for another player. Unfortunately I haven't had much time in the past couple of weeks to do much cropping, but I am getting ready to get back to it!

I have teamed up with a group of scrappy friends and we are going to be having a blog hop on the 15th of this month. We have all been given the same set of papers from Reminisce available at "The Scrapbook Shoppe" We are going to create a layout, card and altered project. I feel honored to have been asked to participate, and am looking forward to seeing everyone's creations as we all have different styles when it comes scrapbooking.

Hoping everyone has a wonderful rest of the weekend. It's starting to thunder hear and I am hoping and praying we get some good rain, would love for my grass to be green again!

It's been awhile!

Ok....so I haven't been on here in weeks. Between work and being sick, I haven't had much time for any crafty creativeness. But I sorta got back in the groove Friday night while cropping at one of my favorite spots "The Scrapbook Shoppe". I sure did miss seeing all my scrappy friends. Hopefully I can get my stuff together and get some designs going for a class or two.

I did however create a few cards. I found these adorable file at myscrapchick.com, they have some of the cutest downloadable paper piecing files. I am actually thinking about doing a page layout with the "olive you" design.

Tri Fold Shutter Card

So I have been checking out some different sites and blogs and came across this tutorial for a tri-fold shutter card. I thought it was kinda neat and had a go at it today. I just made a simple birthday card. Turned out kinda cute, but I think I might need to add a little something to it.

Andrew's Book

Andrew is the rookie goalie this year for the Columbus Cottonmouths, and these are a few of the layouts from his book. I have done books in the past for other players. I love creating books for myself, but I think I enjoy the ones I do for others even more. There is just something about seeing the expressions on their faces as they turn the pages and and remember the events that are collected throughout the books.

I had a couple of different players to choose from this year, but Andrew made a great first impression on me when I met him. I don't think I have ever seen him without a smile on his face and he has a super personality! I certainly hope he enjoys his scrapbook and much as I am enjoying creating it for him.

Bee Mine

Happy Sunday!

Well I am a bit late, as it's already 9pm. Had a nice quiet day at the house. Watched a couple of movies and spent some time cropping and creating. I am working on a few Valentine's Cards. I have made a little bee to go on one. It's a paper piecing design from Treasure Box Designs, it has become a favorite site of mine.

I am also working on a scrapbook for one of our local hockey players. I will post a few of those pictures too.

Hope everyone has a great week!!!

The Crack Machine

I love my Cricut. It took me a long time to decide to purchase one. After I got it, I wished I had gotten it sooner! I had my first one for 2 years, and this past Christmas I upgraded to the Expression, and boy was I glad. My good friend Jill calls it "The Crack Machine", because it's addicting and I love using it.

The hardest part it all the different cartridges, I would love to have them all but can't see buying the ones that I would only use once or twice. Thank goodness we have a super duper local Scrapbook Shoppe where we are able to get together with others avid scrappers and share our cartridges and ideas. I even went as far as purchasing a software that is compatible with the Cricut that allows you to use other files that you can download off the internet and cut out with the machine. It's great!

Here is one of the first layouts I did with my Cricut using the "All Mixed Up" font cartridge. My early layouts were simple until I got the hang of all the functions and things you could do with the cartridges.
